OTV (Vivendi Water) wins a euros 43 million contract in Berne (Switzerland)

OTV (Vivendi Water) in partnership with the consulting firm Bonnard & Gardel and the Swiss companies LOSAG (civil works) and ALPHA Techniques de l’Environnement, has been awarded a contract valued at euros 43 million (roughly the same amount in US$) to upgrade the wastewater treatment plant of the city of Berne.

OTV overcame a stiff international competition thanks to the quality of its technical solution. The facilities are receiving urban and industrial wastewater of the Berne area which represent 40,000PE. The works to be performed by OTV consist in re-building the existing biological treatment. When completed at the summer 2004 the facilities will meet new discharge standards to be enforced by January 2005.

Before Berne, the Swiss cities of Geneva, Altenrhein, Neuchâtel, Colombier, Pianscarolo and Lyss had already selected the OTV’s BIOSTYR™ and ACTIFLO™ processes.
