Degrémont wins two sludge incineration contracts in the United States

Degrémont (Suez Lyonnaise des Eaux Group) recently won two sludge incineration contracts in the United States, at Northwest Bergen County (New Jersey) and Cincinnati (Ohio) through its North-American subsidiary Infilco Degrémont Inc. At Cincinnati, the incineration facility will be the largest built in the US by Infilco Degrémont Inc. over the last ten years.

Incineration will take place in fluidised-bed furnaces which ensure fast, optimised, odour-free combustion of sludge, in compliance with the most stringent legislative standards in terms of atmospheric emissions. This process is well suited for the municipal and industrial markets both in North America, France and Asia. Through the innovative technology of Niro furnaces, Infilco Degrémont Inc. has established itself as US No. 1 in this sector and as the leading supplier in North America.

The final disposal of sewage sludge will be the major challenge in the years to come. To this end, offers proposes a complete line of treatment processes including dewatering, composting, drying and incineration.
