GVRD appoints Manager of Engineering and Construction

Tim Jervis, a 15-year employee of the Greater Vancouver Regional District and a 1980 UBC Engineering graduate, has been appointed Manager of the GVRD’s Engineering and Construction Department, Board Chair George Puil announced today.

Mr. Jervis replaces John Morse, who retired at the end of April after 30 years with the regional district.

Prior to joining the GVRD, Mr. Jervis worked for five years as a project engineer with Dayton & Knight Ltd in West Vancouver. He began his career with the regional district in 1985 as an assistant project engineer, and was most recently Administrator, Civil, Mechanical Design and Construction – with responsibility for a staff of 54 and a capital budget in excess of $50 million – prior to his appointment as Manager of Engineering and Construction.

Mr. Jervis’ broad technical experience includes the design, construction and management of large scale, multi-discipline, municipal/regional water and sewer capital projects. A Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of British Columbia, he is also affiliated with the American Water Work Association (AWWA), the BC Water and Waste Association (BCWWA, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Pipeline Division and the Canadian Welding Society (CWS).
